Strašan film.
A opet me toliko naljutio jer postojao je potencijal za nešto uistinu veće, samo da nije sputan manjim greškama i razočaravajućim krajem.
Ali me film pogodio, onako pozitivno definitivno. Zato što Ledger zaslužuje više od Oscara za ono što je pokazao.
Ovo sam napisao na stranom forumu, pa da sad ne prevodim...
MALI SPOILERI
Saw "The Dark Knight" yesterday.
The way the opening scene unfolded, I was thrilled; what with it taking the style of "Heat". So I get immersed in the movie. Regarding the Batman's introduction in the Scarecrow scene, I feel that bit could have been done better, significantly. It just felt odd. Whatever.
Then comes Joker and his infamous "pencil trick". I loved that one, not solely because of Ledger's inspired acting, but the way that meeting was set up and played; beautiful. Mob mugs, sitting across and discussing Batman's death with a sadist, all while being watched by a third party, the pieces just come and play. Just felt right, that scene.
Bruce and Alfred, or Bale and Caine, once again delivered in their scenes. There is a feeling that they understand each other completely, that was certainly a positive fragment.
Magie was a significant upgrade on the Rachel character, as this time around you care some bit about her.
What wasn't right and something that disappointed me a great deal, was the interaction between Batman and Joker. Remember Joker saying to Batman "that he completed him"? Well, Batman didn't complete Joker in the movie. Joker was on his own, individual, crazed level, on which Batman never really ascended (or had fallen, regarding someone's interpretation of Joker). That's why their final clash didn't feel right.
Two-Face, what to say? Even with so much screen time, Harvey Dent's character seemed a bit flat, especially after that fire incident. Maybe, just maybe there could have been a better choice for that part besides Aaron Eckhart.
As for the cinematography goes, it goes significantly above standard Hollywood, summer blockbuster standards. I was expecting Nolan to give an even more of a "Blade Runner" feel to it, but as it stands now, it works.
Maybe the biggest suprise was the music, or how good it was. To some it may seem that Zimmer and Howard took the easy way out, but this is not recycling anything of their previous works; they worked on and evolved from their "Begins" piece. I was very impressed with "Why So Serious" track, which worked superbly in all of the scenes it was used.
It was a great movie, but it had the potential for something even much bigger.
"Glory,glory Manchester United!"
"There's only one Ronaldo!"
RIP AS Roma - Old Trafford, 10.04.'07.
