Evo nešto malo za Cifrua:
Few things can be seen from what Helios wrote:
1st. - He say that LARGE creatures are producing Lag (what about those particle effects that have NO OPTION to be turn off - they produce much worst lag than any single Large object on screen) – so this statement have no argumentation, when you dont want to ad simple option, that could fix lag.
2nd. - It is obvious that Helios is afraid for game balance with comeback of Large creatures. BUT they have option to make them fit.
I see few posible options:
1st. option - Make Large pets usable only in PvE.
2nd. Option - Make Large pets less powerfull.
3rd. option - Make Large creature subject to RANDOM AGRO* state.
*Random Agro state:
is state that can be implemented to all pets (but I will here discus only on large pets)
Each large Creature should have his Ramdom Agro rate. (Rancor 95%, Kimogila 90%, Famba 80%)
This would represent Power and stubornes of those pets.
Large pet problems generated with Random Agro state:
- Pet will not generate when called from datapad 5% chance (30 min colldown time)
- Pet wont learn tricks of refuse to do it
- Pet enters agro state and attack at random: owner, other player (if inside PvP zone), NPC.
This all would make Beast Master job very dificult (and very hilarious for rest of us)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Potential view ofBeast master expertise tree:
- General which will probably decide which pets you can tame
- Tricks will determine level of tricks you could learn pets
- Combat – will determine what combat moves pet can learn (if any)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To be able to control Large beasts playes should have at least 75% in total Beast Mastery expertise tree.
Beast master (person who have full expertise) still would have chance that Large creature would not listen to his commands in 15% of cases.
This chance should increase each time Player command his pet (1% for simple commands, 2% for tricks, 3 % for combat commands)
Player with minimum points that are needed in expertise to controling Large pets would have 90 % chance thathis Large pet would refuse to listen to his commands or even agro him.
3rd. - It is sad that such iconic and star warsy pet as Rancor would not be available for players to have. Just add more energy into finding solution and you WILL make players/customers satishied.
4th. - I know this is compromise, BUT please alowe Large pets, make them not fully usable in combat or maybe they are too big and stuborn to learn tricks. Hinder them in some way, just bring them back.
This is something I think all players from all SWG phases remember. You remeber when you see first time player with Rancor or kimogila as pet. This is just such powerfull moment in game. It inspires people playing SWG, they wonder, where did that player get thet, how, can I have it. Such moments make SWG memorable game, such moments bring people back. No need to cut something, just dont make is so powerfull it would be exploitable.
Present pet problems:
Sugestion for Helios: if you are afraid that players will hide behind their pets which happens all the time now (with bantha for start) just make pet to auto pack back in datapad when incapacited. Other solution which can be combined with first is that player can not target enemy if his pet is in the line of fire. Both of thos sugestion implemented would make sploiting with pets imposible.
P.S. Hellios If you wanna really make players happy. do not add Rancors, Krayts, Kimogilas, Fambas and other large pets in game as part of of normal Beast Mastery, but make apropriate GOLD ELITE quests to get them. For Example: Nighsisters theme part (which exist - but gives no quest xp or any meaningful rewars) which can in the end result in geting NO TRADE pet Rancor.
