Post prenesen sa TrekWeb foruma, a koji oslikava, odnos Akademije prema SF-u (posebice se osvrnuti na dio o DeForrestu Kellyju (Bones):
Will the Academy Awards fail to recognize the passing of James Doohan in their "In Memoriam" tribute?
It's a question I've kinda been thinking about all week.Every Academy Awards show has a few-minute segment of stars who have passed away over the previous year.In 2000, when DeForest Kelley had died the year previous, the Oscar telecast failed to mention his passing. There was quite a bit of outrage amongst the Trek community about this and when someone actually asked the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, they're response was "DeForest who?"Will the same thing happen tonight? Will an iconic actor of film and television be ignored?
